Some Interesting Things I Read (Watched and Listened to) This Month

Inside Hudson River Trading's Blistering Token Burn | Odd Lots -- I am a huge fan of the Odd Lots podcast. This episode was particularly interesting to me, as it gave insight into how a top quant firm was leveraging LLMs in their research pipeline.
Discovering cryptographic weaknesses with Claude -- The entire world (hyperbole) was abuzz with the news of the Claude Fable assisted counterexample to the Jacobian Conjecture. Something less covered recently happened in in my field of training: Anthropic announced that by using Mythos they were able to produce improved attack against the HAWK post-quantum digital scheme.
Against "Stochastic Terrorism" -- Scott Alexander attempts to work through guidelines for preventing real-world atrocities that are downstream of online rhetoric.
Show HN: I replaced a $120k bowling center system with $1,600 in ESP32s -- I have both a fondness for bowling alleys and (soon to be) open source projects like this.
